Grease, that old favourite movie was on the other night, and as I watched the first 30 minutes I realised Betty Rizzo, as played by Stockard Channing, is my style icon.
This came as rather a revelation. I hadn’t realised one of my favourite outfits was channelling Rizzo. I love the classic and fitted black shirt and skirt with the cute little ballet flats that she wears at the start of the movie, never realising I wear a similar look quite a lot.
She looks strong and sexy all at the same time, which is a defining concept for me in my wardrobe (as well as the black, who am I kidding).
My modern variation on her classic look is a pencil skirt, t-shirt, open button-through shirt overtop, 3/4 length tights, neck-kerchief and my fabulous ruby-red shoes.
And for more Rizzo fabulousness, here she is singing “There are worse things I could do”.
