n the end, after much unsatisfying searching, I found two brands that were just right. The first was Fayreform (to the right). A lot of these bras are just so-so for me, but the Profile Perfect style is just right for an everyday bra. It’s supportive and I don’t really feel it while wearing it. Its only downside is that you can’t wear it under a low-cut top; the bra just sits too high, and I really prefer and balconette.So I needed some more bras; oh well, I guess I had to keep looking.
The other brand I finally found, which is my new favourite, is Pleasure State VIP. These bras are so lovely and sexy. I have the Carmen (to the left), for your plain black (or white if you prefer) everyday bra. The straps are skinny (so good for wearing under lots of styles of top), there are little sparkles on the straps for cuteness and a rather comfortable g-string if you’re into matching underpants (which I am).
I also have the Giverny (to the right) for my sexy vintage thing. Is this not a truely lovely and sexy red bra. I have to say I feel great while wearing it.So, if you have bigger boobs, check out Fayreform and Pleasure State VIP. Good for girls up to a G cup.

Yes you are quite right, larger sized bars, especially pretty ones are very hard to find. With out sounding like a 'sale consultant' as I don't actually sell this stuff, you may like to try Intimo (www.intimo.com.au/), I personally love this stuff and it comes in a huge range of sizes. They won't make a style of bar that would be impractical in a particular size. (ie: no half cup in big sizes etc)

oh, i know what you mean, i have been a dd most of my life, sometimes an e... and finding bras that fit are difficult. most of the time i had to put myself on wait lists at the lingerie shops for something to come in my size. but now i just go to figleaves.com or .co.uk (depending if i'm in the usa or germany) they have a pretty good selection in my size, and the wait time is really a lot less.
if you have a bit of extra cash, i'd recommend prima donna for larger size. i bought on for US$130 which i thought was an obscene amount of money for a bra, but it had a plunging line, good but not too much coverage, and it only needed ONE hook in the back. never in my life did i have a bra with ONE hook. and this bra was the best... it gave the best shape, and without looking like an old lady, it actually minimized and lifted to a nice silhouette. my favorite bra ever.
unfortunately after a few years it died, so i'm saving up for a new one.

I've been told figleaves.com is excellent, but I have never bought anything there personally. I'm wary of buying a bra that I can't try on, considering my ladies tend to defy conventional sizing. So frustrating. I feel like a jerk for even whining about it, but I really have not enjoyed the whole "all the weight goes to my chest first" thing.

Ilikedginger, I try to find the bra in a store first and try it on (I agree with you). Once I know my size in a particular style, I'm happy to buy it on-line after that.
