A handbag of uniqueness, Part 2

So here it is; my fantabulous Bambas bag. The style is called “Vamp” and the design is “The Blooms of Old French Goblins” (how cool is that). The colours are just great; just what I wanted, red but not too cool to work with brown or too warm to work with grey. It has non-black lining (essential), two internal zippered pockets, a third sleeve pocket at the front, and the internal section has a zipper to close it completely (always good for security). The hardware is chunky but attractive. The design is hand painted and the leather is etched in places to give a great texture. The strap is stiff, but I suspect it will soften a little in time. And not only all of the above, the bag has a two year warranty!

Despite the saga with ordering and delivery, Bruce from Bambas was polite and helpful and I was happy with the service.

I would suggest four improvements to this particular design which would make it perfect (though it’s pretty close now). It would be helped by mobile phone sized pockets on the sides, a sleeve pocket at the back, a press stud behind the buckle to open the bag quickly, and the buckle on the strap is too close to the top of the shoulder (it should be further down). However the outstanding design outweighs these small imperfections.

I am very pleased.
