Casual Fridays don’t happen on Thursday

I like casual Fridays (at least I did when I worked on Fridays). I like the opportunity to wear something different to work; jeans, or a printed t-shirt, or a denim jacket. It’s nice to have a change.

However, if there is a public holiday on Friday (like there was last week), does that really mean you can move casual day to Thursday? Every second person in the Sydney CBD seemed to be wearing casual dress, including in my office. Did I miss the memo?

What do you think, do you love casual Friday’s so much that you have to substitute another day if you miss it? Let me know.

I think you can, especially before a long weekend. it's like the last day of work before Christmas. you can definitely go a bit casual

Hey Nerida, thanks for visiting. Fair enough, I guess. I have to say before Christmas, and between Christmas and New Year I always go casual. Much more comfortable (especially in Australia, where it's HOT at that time.)

Hi Icy - thanks for your comment on my blog!

I have no idea about Casual Fridays anymore, as I work from home ... when I was at the publishing company, however, I always kind of dreaded them, so I'd rather skip them when there's a public holiday!

A xx

Hello Icy,
Thank you for dropping by.
So you turned up for work dressed like you would on a regular Thursday? x

I did! As I only work Wed and Thur in the city, a chance to dress casual would have been great. Oh well.
