As I was walking back to the office from lunch, I saw a woman with an almost fabulous look. She had black pencil skirt, black sleeveless top with an aggressive, asymmetrical neckline and black ankle boots (which I’m not a fan of with skirts, but she worked it). She looked great and edgy but…
Her almost black hair was just pulled back in a soft bun at the back of her head; she had very neutral glasses and no makeup. It just didn’t hang together with the rest of her look, and as a consequence let the whole thing down. If she’d just pulled her hair into a slicked chignon at the base of neck instead of the more casual bun, the look would have worked.
Always remember, the whole look is important. She was almost an Individual Chic, but not quite.

I was JUST thinking about this the other day & how I wanted to post about it.
It's a huge pet peeve of mine when I see a beautiful outfit (on a beautiful person), but they didn't complete the outfit because they paid no attention to their hair/make-up/footwear.
Hey Ashe,
Thanks for visiting! I agree, it was such a shame, she had an almost perfect look.

I wonder what she was thinking.
And glad you're back!
Hey Rebecca,
I'm not sure either. She was so nearly there. And thanks, I'm glad I'm back too.
Icy.
