For Part 1 and Part 2.
Mwah hah haaa, my new shoes have arrived and they are PERFECT! They arrived in the office Wednesday afternoon and I would have put them on right then and there, but I was wearing knee-hi Doc Martens, and trust me, without a zipper they take 3 minutes each to put on, so I wasn’t swapping (I get up 5 minutes early on the day I wear those shoes). I squirreled them into my bag so I could prance around in them in the privacy of my own home.
When I got home and tried them on, they were PERFECT! Perfect size at 7 1/2, perfect heel height, perfect padding in the shoe (soooo comfortable), and a perfect lovely dark red colour. The only teeny niggle is that the heel is actually dark brown (which you can’t tell from the picture) but it’s not particularly noticeable. After wearing them around for a few hours, I made a big call. I decided I was going to wear them to work on Thursday, and I was going to walk to the train station as well.
Now I get blisters, I get lots of blisters. Almost every pair of shoes I own required a breaking in period where I had to strap my feet up with bandaids in order to survive. My most recent everyday ballet flats only gave me a couple and only took a few days to break in, I was very impressed.
But I was feeling good about my new shoes so I thought I’d take the risk. And do you know what, they were PERFECT! No blisters at all on the way to work. I’m soooo happy ^_^.

Thanks Meg ^_^ I'm happy too, yay!
Great to hear that.
Still, make friends with moleskin. It saves my feet on a regular basis.
Alexandra, I've looked for that stuff but can't seem to find it in Aus. The fabric bandaids are ok though.
