I’m sure you know I have a “thing” about correctly fitting clothes and it doesn’t matter if it is a guy or a girl. I saw a guy yesterday at lunch who was really working the quadruple whammy.
The poor man. To start with, the jacket shoulders sat a good 4cm past the end of his actual shoulders. Strike one.
The jacket itself was way too big for him, gaping all over. Strike two.
The sleeves were touching his knuckles. Strike three.
The pants, while they fit, were brushing the tops of his shoes and nearly showing his (thankfully dark) socks. Strike four, and urrr’re out!*
He wasn’t a guy with an optimum body type either, and I’m sorry, if you don’t have a perfect body (like me), you have to work even harder at being super-fabulous.
I’ll say it again: details are important! Get them right.
* I think it’s actually 3 strikes and urrr’re out. Hey I’m Australian, we don’t play baseball, and how would I know?

Every time I see people like that, it makes me want to run up and beg them to let me take them shopping to make them over.
But I'm afraid I'll get slapped *laugh*.... by the women :P They'll most certainly be insulted about the fact that I think their dress sense is a bit off.... (metallic silver tight stirrup pants with a see through white mesh camisole with a bright pink bra underneath.. anyone?)
Oooh, not pretty. I'm always tempted by the idea of telling someone when they look great though, even if I don't know them. I haven't really been brave enough though ;(
That is pretty much how DH looked five years ago--before we got married. Slowly I (and, at times, hired consultants) have introduced the idea of clothes that look good and fit properly--which is tough to find when you're extremely tall and skinny. He's amazed at the difference, though. He actually *likes* clothes now.
Hey Queen of Carrots, thanks for visiting! My DH has a fairly average size body, so I didn't have the same problems, but he still doesn't like clothes. He buys $30 pants and then wears them till they fall appart. He is always clean and presentable, and fitted, just not ... stylish ^_^
