OK, I saw this woman a few days ago and I was a bit conflicted with what she was wearing, first thing in the morning on her way to work.
Slinky black dress, not sure. Long sleaves and polo collar, OK fine.
Very short black dress, not sure. Black opaque tights, OK fine.
Being able to see through the knit dress as she walked, not good. If she’d worn a slip, it would have been OK fine, but it wasn’t.
So in the end, I didn’t like it, but only because she’d missed that very last detail of what could have been a fabulous outfit.

The Devil's in the details, they say. Slips are soooo useful. I love the slips that I have. They are certainly useful for adding a bit more modesty to see through outfits. They are also great for keeping skirts from catching between one's thighs.
That said, are slips as hard to find in Australia as in the U.S.? I've been looking everywhere and almost no one seems to carry them. The ones that I have found come in black or white (instead of nude which would be much, much better), and they are usually way too long to wear even with skirts that are knee length. Full slips are even harder to find than half slips.
I live in my slips. and when I get home at night and the dress, skirt comes off, it is fun just to lounge in my slip in this heat.
Yours is a blog that I think ROCKS. Thus I’ve named you as a Rockin’ Girl Blogger. Please go here for details.
I need a good slip myself. I agree with meg - I need a NUDE slip that comes down to knee length, and isn't so high up that I can't wear nice camisoles underneath without it being ruined by this nude slip showing.
Meg, let's open our own shop together and create the perfect slip....
Meg, they are around in Australia, but not really on-line. Department stores (Myer, DJs, Target, K-Mart) are the places to pick them up, including the nude ones. Most can be a little "nannaish" though, so it can take some looking to find one with out the lace.
CG_CL, oh, I agree ^_^
Miss Janey, why thank you!!!
FabBroke, if I can bring two fabulous bloggers together I'm sure I've found my place in the world ^_^
